Discover the Poetry of Florence Through Art

This workshop is designed for students eager to discover—or rediscover—the poetry and magic of Florence. In just one week, you’ll immerse yourself in the city’s Renaissance architecture and iconic skyline, dominated by the majestic dome of the cathedral.

The aim of the course is to help students create a sketchbook filled with unforgettable memories of Florence and its spectacular surroundings.

Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned artist, this course offers a unique opportunity to deepen your skills in freehand drawing and perspective sketching while exploring Florence’s most celebrated landmarks.

During guided outdoor sessions, students will learn to sketch and paint a variety of subjects—from sweeping landscapes and bustling piazzas to medieval towers, narrow alleyways, and grand churches. You may choose to work with several techniques, including pencil, watercolor, oil painting, or pastel. Instruction will focus primarily on the use of color and perspective methods.

The workshop spans five days, from Monday to Friday, totaling 30 hours of tuition, and includes a scenic excursion to the breathtaking Giardino Bardini overlooking Florence.

Classes are available in both Italian and English.

Additional Information:

• A daily lunch break is scheduled from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
• The program may be adjusted in case of adverse weather conditions.
• We recommend wearing a hat and comfortable shoes, as some walking under the sun is required to reach various drawing and painting locations.
• On certain days, you may need to climb stairs to access panoramic viewpoints. Please take your time and walk at your own pace.
• Don’t forget to bring water and a light snack with you.Upon request, we can provide a portable easel and a collapsible chair for your convenience.
