Costumes and drapery workshop

Discover the art of drawing and painting costumes

This workshop has been conceived for those students who wish to improve their abilities in drawing and painting any kind of clothing and garments. During this intensive 30-hour seminar students will learn how to:

• sketch croquis so as to perfect their ability to create a variety of poses.
• draw costumes from figures and croquis;
• draw the details of dresses, skirts, blouses, accessories, adding color and other details;
• study the effect of light and shadow on draperies as well as on fabric folds and jewelry;
• draw and paint clad models wearing both elegant dresses and historic costumes.

Students can choose to work with various media, such as pencil, charcoal, soft pastels, Pantone markers and acrylic colors.

Dressed models will also be available each day with different costumes throughout the workshop.

The workshop has a duration of 30 hours of tuition over 5 days, from Monday to Friday.

Classes will be held both in Italian or English.
