Art material

These are the Art supplies we suggest you should buy to attend our Art courses.

Art material is not included in the price with the exception of paper sheets and pencils.

If you do not have the material for your course do not worry, our Art teacher will instruct you where to to buy it on the first day of your course in an Art shop offering discounts to our students.

We remind you that we provide only basic material (normal paper, pencils and rubbers) unless specified differently on the course page.

For Drawing

Pencil B

For Painting

Oil Painting

Primary colours: red, yellow, blue, titanium white;
2 or 3 canvas or canvas boards, size 6, 8 or 10;
2 or 3 brushes (small, medium and large);
palette (if possible made of paper);
liquin;
vegetable based solvent.

Acrylic Painting

Primary colours: red, yellow, blue, titanium white;
2 or 3 canvas or canvas boards, size 6, 8 or 10;
2 or 3 brushes (small, medium and large);
palette (if possible made of paper).

Watercolour

Pencils HB and B2 or B4;
a 12 color set for watercolor;
3 brushes for watercolor small, medium and large (i.e. 3, 8, 12);
Paper sheets or a watercolor block.

Fresco

2 brushes
Pigments for fresco

Ask your teacher before buying this material.

Pastel

White paper sheets for pastel;
A twenty-four-colour set of hard pastels;
A fixative spray.

Optional

Drawing ink (black or sepia);
sanguine chalk;
Working clothes.

For plein air lessons:
– a portable easel;
– a small collapsible chair.
