These courses are very intensive and are meant for those who have little time to spend in Florence but they wish to experience an intensive day of Art History and discover the renaissance buildings of the city as well as its unique museums. For individuals and pre-established small groups the programme and the schedule of these courses can be totally tailored to their needs and interests. It is possible to visit the most important museums of Florence such as the Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery, the Palatine Gallery and the Boboli Gardens, the Bargello National Museum, the Museum of San Marco, the Museum of Medici Chapels, the Opera del Duomo Museum, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the churches devoted to Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce. The Uffizi and Accademia Gallery are a must. Spend one day with our Art teacher in Pitti Palace, the ancient royal palace, visiting its 7 extraordinary museums and relax in the Boboli and Bardini Gardens, the main seat of the Medici grand dukes of Tuscany in Florence, the first and most familiar formal 16th-century Italian gardens. 5 hours of private guided tour. A guided tour through the streets of Florence on the paths of the famous statesman and patron of scholars, artists and poets: Lorenzo de’ Medici, also known as Lorenzo the Magnificent. Visits to the most significant monuments and places relatetd to this major Renaissance figure: the San Marco Museum, the San Lorenzo church and the Laurentian Library, the Medici Riccardi Palace, the Medici Chapels. 5 hours of private guided tour. A guided tour in Florence on the trail of Michelangelo Buonarroti, visiting the most important museums in town that exhibit some of his most remarkable artworks: the Casa Buonarroti, the Bargello Museum, the Medici Chapels, the Accademia Gallery and Santa Croce church. 6 hours of private guided tour. Discover the secrets of one of the most famous monuments in the world, visit the cathedral, the baptistery and the museum of the Duomo. You will be introduced to “one of the world’s most important collections of sculpture.” Our Art histroy teachers will take you back to renaissance period. You will learn how Brunelleschi built his marvellous dome (the “Cupola”) and how Lorenzo Ghiberti created the Gates of Paradise. Among the many artworks you will admire masterpieces suche as the Cantorias by Luca della Robbia and Donatello, as well as the the Deposition by Michelangelo. 4 hours of private guided tours The programs may be subject to some slight variations. Students who enroll in twos can have a 25% reduction on the tuition fees. Museum tickets and reservations.
