This course deals with visual understanding by direct observation of the human body and it includes the acquisition of basic notions of anatomy<\/strong> as well as the methodology used to draw bodies and faces<\/strong>, also through the technique of the “\u00e9corch\u00e9”, a technique firstly introduced in the Renaissance period, whose aim was to depict the muscles and bones of a human body, so as to better draw or paint the overlying skin.<\/p>\n

Drawing and Painting techniques<\/h3>\n
Students will practice with the main drawing tools<\/strong>, i.e. graphite, charcoal, sanguine, pen-and-ink, pastel crayon. It is possible to combine the study of the drawing with the colour techniques<\/strong> such as oil, pastel or acrylic.<\/blockquote>\n

Models<\/h3>\n

On every session students will draw from either female<\/strong> or male<\/strong> models posing in the nude: quick poses will aim at teaching the sketch technique while longer poses will intend to develop the study of anatomy and of shades as well as the student\u2019s observation abilities.<\/p>\n

Classes are held both in Italian<\/span><\/strong> or English<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_message color=”alert-info” width=”1\/1″ el_position=”first last”]\n

LD. Life-drawing and anatomy: this workshop has a duration of 30 hours in a week and it take place from Monday to Friday. The workshop includes 2 hours a day, for a total of 10 hours, of living models<\/strong>.
